SAGE FIXED ASSETS

Sage Fixed Assets Consulting — From Frustration to Clarity

When a Sage Fixed Assets environment is not delivering the expected result, the difficult question is often not simply how to fix it — but what the actual problem is.

Is it software functionality? Configuration? Data? Reporting? Integration? Process? Training? Ownership? A combination? Each of those produces similar frustration and requires a different remedy from a different party — which is why the diagnosis matters more than the first fix attempt.

Fixed Asset Consultant provides independent fixed-asset expertise to diagnose the operating environment, define the issue, establish evidence, identify responsibility, and coordinate the path toward resolution.

Why the diagnosis is the hard part

An organization that cannot get the report it needs may be looking at a reporting limitation, a configuration decision made during implementation, a data quality problem inherited from a conversion, a process that never captured the field the report depends on, or a training gap that means the capability exists and is not being used.

All five feel identical from the user's chair. They are not the same problem, they do not have the same owner, and treating one as another is how a frustration becomes a two-year stalemate.

Independent, fixed-asset-specific diagnosis separates them — with evidence attached, so the resulting conversation with any party is about facts rather than impressions.

Implementation readiness

What needs to be decided, cleaned and documented before an implementation, upgrade or re-implementation begins.

Data conversion & cleanup

Conversion into or out of Sage Fixed Assets, plus cleanup, mass changes, reconciliation and validation.

Reporting & reconciliation

Complex issue & recovery coordination

Establish what the problem is, document the evidence, identify responsibility, and coordinate the path to resolution.

Post-implementation optimization

Revisit the configuration and process decisions that were made under time pressure and are now costing effort every period.

Independent by design

This is independent, business-side consulting. Fixed Asset Consultant is not a software vendor, is not a reseller, and does not speak for any software provider. Sage and Sage Fixed Assets are trademarks of their respective owner and are referred to here only to describe the environments we work in.

What we bring is fixed-asset subject-matter expertise applied to your environment, your data and your process — and a written, evidence-based view of what is actually wrong.

Investment

Focused Sage Fixed Assets optimization assessments typically start around $15,000 to $25,000. Complex recovery engagements — multiple contributing causes, multi-entity environments, or coordination across parties — generally range from approximately $20,000 to $40,000+ depending on scope.

Every range here is working positioning. Scope is established in conversation before anything is quoted.

Common questions

Is this Sage support?

No. This is independent consulting from the client's side of the table. Product support, defects and licensing sit with the software provider. What we do is establish what the problem actually is, document the evidence, and coordinate the path to resolution — including with whichever party owns each part of it.

We already have a Sage Fixed Assets implementation partner. Does this overlap?

Usually not. An implementation partner delivers against a defined scope. The gap we fill is the independent lifecycle perspective: whether the requirements are the right requirements, whether the data supports them, and whether the process around the system will hold. The two roles work well in parallel.

Can you work with fixed asset systems other than Sage Fixed Assets?

Yes. The method is platform-independent, and the same lifecycle questions apply to any fixed asset system. This page exists because Sage Fixed Assets environments are a common starting point, not because the work is limited to them.

LET'S TALK

Discuss your Sage Fixed Assets environment.

Bring the thing that isn't working. The first job is establishing what the actual problem is — and that conversation costs nothing.
